Sacred Solstice: A Candlelight Restorative Practice with Christie Rosen
Honor the Winter Solstice with an evening of nervous-system nourishment and deep rest. The Solstice marks a sacred turning point—the moment when darkness peaks and the light begins its slow return. Through restorative yoga, candlelight, and intentional rest, we’ll support the gentle settling of your nervous system and reconnect with the grounding wisdom of the season.
Restorative yoga will guide you into deep rest through long-held, fully supported postures that soothe the body, calm the mind, and create space for clarity, release, and renewal. There are no active poses; the focus is on unwinding, grounding, and replenishing your inner reserves.
We’ll gather in soft candlelight, accompanied by healing music and the quiet energy of the dark. Together, we’ll set intentions for the winter ahead, release what is ready to be let go, and allow your whole system to settle into deep, restorative calm.
Please bring:
Two pillows
Optional:
Anything that brings comfort—warm layers, eye mask, favorite socks, etc.
A small item for our Winter Solstice altar: something from nature (pinecone, stone, leaf) or a written word or affirmation you wish to call in for your winter season.
